In The Narnia Movies, Will Jill Pole And Eustace Scrub Be As Likable And Accepted As The Pevensie Children?

I often see that the world of movie watchers hate it when beloved characters are taken out and new ones are added. Do you think in the next Narnia movies that the audience will become attached to characters like Jill Pole and Eustace Scrub just like they did with the four Penvensie children? I am afraid that people who have not read the full Narnia series will affiliate Narnia with the Pevensie children and not be able to accept the new characters. Thoughts?

I think they will. Eustace enters the series with the personality of a mosquito and undergoes a likable conversion. Jill has her own challenges, but remains a staunch, stalwart character within books four and seven. My only hesitation with Eustace is that the actor playing him might engage in some useless over-the-top, hot-tempered acting: continually shrieking his lines and stamping his foot. Yes, Eustace is nasty but don’t turn him into a demonically possessed brute.
