I just received this…
Hello,
We are writing to let you know that Yahoo! takes our users’ welfare and
the issue of suicide very seriously. We do not monitor our message
boards, but sometimes messages are brought to our attention where
suicide is being discussed. As a third party, it is always difficult for
us to assess what individuals using our service may really be thinking
or feeling, and we are not in a position to provide specific medical
referrals or other kinds of assistance. However, we urge you to enlist
help if suicide is a subject that is being seriously considered. If you
believe that you or someone you know is in immediate danger, please
contact the nearest emergency room, or call 911 for assistance.
In addition to local numbers found on the inside cover of your local
phone book, you also may want to contact one of these organizations:
* The National “YOUTH” Crisis Helpline:
1-800-999-9999
* The National Crisis Helpline:
1-800-784-2433
* The National Resource Center for Suicide Prevention and Aftercare:
1-404-256-9797
* The National Mental Health Association (330 affiliates nationwide
providing treatment referrals & services):
1-800-969-NMHA (6642)
* The Suicide Information & Education Center:

services):

once actually, lol
Never have. And the address it came from was verified as Yahoo!, huh? Considering they say in the letter “…but sometimes messages are brought to our attention…”, well, if THIS doesn’t prove that Yahoo! simply takes the initial person’s word as gospel, what does? Trolls.
You must have said something like that in one of your questions or answers, and someone reported it. They are looking out for your well being. If you are ok you should let them know and thank them for their concern. “good luck”
that’s odd. I’ve never gotten those but have you mentioned sucided in your questions or anything? that’s the only reason I can think that they’d send that to you.
Wow. I’m a bit touched that Yahoo does care. I hope that does help people when needed. I do wonder what you wrote that prompted such a response.
Lol. Interesting. I haven’t gotten that before.
TATAS. MSN NOW.
Appearently Yahoo thinks your depressed
hahahaha zing
They sent me that message right after they suspended my level 7 account. 🙂
No…just the opposite.
Nope, never ever received one of those. Someone must have sensed something in one of your answers or questions and reported it to the Y!A Staff.
The Yamster really does care
OMG lol I’ve never gotten one. I would be pretty astounded.
Wow. Can’t say I have.
