There’s a good Korean place in Kitchener, Ontario. It’s hidden on King street in a little plaza across from the Farmer’s Market; ate there in high-school at lunch. I usually get the Chicken Teriyaki with rice and the sauce that they put on it is so good! I don’t know the recipe for it but I wish i did because I’d love to make it at home.
I asked one of the girls working there and, somewhat hesitant, said that the lady in the back makes it, that she uses fruits and soy sauce and other stuff to make it. She wouldn’t tell me heh.
So…does ANY one know what this ‘secret’ recipe might be?
In general, I’ve always used the following for a japanese teriyaki sauce according to my mom. You start with equal parts of soy sauce, sugar, and water. Vary the ratio according to use with beef, pork, or chicken as well as taste. Additionally, you can add ginger, garlic, mirin and sesame oil.
However, you can also try this.http://www.squidoo.com/teriyaki-sauce-re…
