How Do I Go About Finding An Investor For My Business That Is Already Up And Running?

I have a marketing business, and have put a lot of time and work into my business. Our projected numbers were off, and it took a little bit longer than expected to get things up and running, so I need to go about finding an investor or venture capitalist. Does anyone have any ideas of how to go about this? We have a solid business plan laid out and a niche concept in our market and region. I would just love any advice that anyone could possible give me.
Thank you!

I recommend going to either WarriorForum or DigitalPoint forums and request an investor in the Partnership areas

lots of VC’s and such only invest in very specific types of businesses that have the potential to go public and make them a ton of money and it would have to have nationwide or worldwide desirability
I doubt marketing businesses would fall in that category and considering yourself local/regional will definitely limit you
what would you need investment for?

From your answer it mentions that your projected numbers were off. Any investor going forward will want to see a revised set of financial projections and a good explanation of why the previous financial projections were off.
As previously mentioned, you will also need to outline how the investor can achieve their projected ROI in an acceptable time period. So if they want a 20% annual return on their money and put $1 million into your business, they will need to see how they get $5-6 million in 5 years.
