Buy a new T.V. or a entertainment center. Problem solved.
Assuming the TV is worth a bit of money, I’d get out my tools and widen the opening. It’s not really that hard if you are at all handy. You could also hire someone. It’s probably something that could be done in an hour.
Take a sawzall and trim a inch off the set or the opening. I suggest the opening…
