I have a large TV niche in my living room quite high on the wall. I do not have the money to cover it up or remodel, nor do I have a flat screen to hang in front of it. I have very little wall space in my living room, so I would love to find a purpose for this. It has a large TV sized hole on top, and two smaller, but still largeish holes on the bottom. There is a T shaped shelf separating the compartments.
I would love to find a way to make this an attractive feature that adds to the design of the room rather than so painfully distracting from it.
Any ideas are appreciated! Thanks!
Try placing a nice painting or printed artwork in the space! Make sure you measure the space and get something big enough to cover it all, or get a few pieces to overhang upon each other like a nice collage. Also you could frame some posters or artwork you have in cheap poster-frames with glass fronts… or even put up family photos in the space. You could get the photos enlarged at a photo place and then get cheap poster-frames at walmart!
A few things come to mind.
– First is shelving. A couple of horizontal pieces of plywood.
– Next would be a display area. Put flower or trophies or something in it and out small lights in the top pointing at the display objects. Maybe even a set of glass doors.
– Put in drawers and use as storage.
– A fish tank.
hmmm..I’ll think of more….
