I am filling out an application for a hospital position and it ask the following question
Have you ever been employed by Valley Health or any of its affiliates in any capacity?
I have not worked for the hospital but I am a part of the hospital auxiliary (volunteer group) and I volunteer 30-40 hours a week so should I put that in there or just leave it blank?
Full disclosure is always best, even if you aren’t technically “employed”. It’s best to put more info then you think they need (especially info that makes you look good; not many people volunteer, and those that do don’t volunteer as much as you. Good for you!), then to put less. Good luck!
Put in in but be sure to list it as “volunteer”.
Chrissy, Although you are not employed by Valley Health or any of its’ affiliates, you still need to tell them that you are a part of the hospital auxiliary and you volunteer 30-40 hours per week. Otherwise, if/when they find out, they will think that you deceived them or that you were trying to hide something. OK? You have to let them know.
