When India was occupied by the British, Ghandi declared one day to be a day of prayer where no single Indian went to work, or did anything but prayed. I am wondering if any Imams or Muslims in America, or anywhere else for that matter, have considered something like this, to show the importance of Muslims and how it would impact everyone if they closed up their shops, did not go to school, nor went to work for one day? Thanks for reading, sorry it’s so long!
Btw, I am a non-Muslim American, and not affiliated with any religion.
Please, no hateful answers.
Peace and salaam.
muslims pray 5 times a day. and go mosque (should) to read the prayers.) we also have eid 2 times a year and ramadhan were we starve all day with no food or water just to let us know how lucky we are unlike the poor.
we dont just come up and choose one day for such thing
we have fridays Eids.. n many other occasions
They already spend a ridiculous amount of time praying daily.
Ghandi asked prayer to be for the good of humanity…
Muslims only pray out of fear of Allah…
It will never mean the same…
Hope that answers your question.
Wait and see. Political theater aside, a movement continues to build. Salams.
