One that comes to mind is sports nutrition. I have been watching the company GNC and Vitamin Shoppe and their stocks have been doing well because of Boomers interest. What other stocks might do well? (businesses, categories, etc?). I suppose medical services is an obvious one. But I am looking for niche ideas since I don’t know how to get my head around medical services which is such a large industry.
Try related medical markets, pharmaceuticals are a good bet. I don’t know what else old people do besides nothing. Media might also work, considering that they’ll watch TV most of the time.
Pharmaceuticals, Healthcare (like HCA), retirement residences (like Dell Web owned by Pulte Group (PHM)), entertainment like Netflix or Blockbuster, or cruise lines, etc). Even travel, resturants, etc. Mortuary companies are starting to get a benefit from that generation, and that will continue for the next 30+ years too.
Baby Boomers are just starting to turn 65. They were a big force at every age they have been, and they will be a force throughout their retirement.
Pharma..Recreational Vehicles..Cruise Lines..Vegas..Once upon a time when things recover.
Or they may choose to continue working.
