I’m just curious as to who owns the rights to the Krag-Jorgensen. I’ve noticed a lot of Civil War and Wild West reproductions in the market lately, and since the .30-40 Krag was used by the US Army during the 1898 Spanish-American War, maybe it would find a niche in the market.
The patents have all expired. It is open for anybody to make.
What rights are you speaking of? If there are any patents , they have expired long ago.
No one, the patents expired long ago, just like the patents on the 1911 handgun and the 1903 Springfield rifle, now anyone can make them without fear of patent infringement.
As much as I love my 1899…
There would NEVER be a real market for it as a reproduction. Thinking about it, who wants a rifle chambered in a really obsolete, hard to find, EXPENSIVE cartridge?
All patents on, and thereof have expired. Anyone can make it if they care to.
