so i havent read quran for a while and life being kinda stressful i picked it up and read surah muminoon and nur. as i was reading verse 35 i pondered on the beautiful imagery in the verse.
“Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The Parable of His Light is as if there were a Niche and within it a Lamp: the Lamp enclosed in Glass: the glass as it were a brilliant star: Lit from a blessed Tree, an Olive, neither of the east nor of the west, whose oil is well-nigh luminous, though fire scarce touched it: Light upon Light! Allah doth guide whom He will to His Light: Allah doth set forth Parables for men: and Allah doth know all things.”(24:35)

Reading The Holy Quran?

Yeah, I totally love that verse. Beautiful, isn’t it?
..it’s amazing, just like the rest of the verses.

There is nothing Holy about the Quran.
The word Holy indicates cleanliness , something that is exalted or worthy of complete devotion as something perfect in goodness and righteousness.
A book that supports the teachings of a person that had sex with children and brutally killed opposers cannot be classed as being Holy., not to mention the direction to hide and wait for an opportunity to kill non believers.
Qur’an:9:5 “Fight and kill the disbelievers wherever you find them, take them captive, harass them, lie in wait and ambush them using every stratagem of war.”
Qur’an:47:4 “When you clash with the unbelieving Infidels in battle (fighting Jihad in Allah’s Cause), smite their necks until you overpower them, killing and wounding many of them. At length, when you have thoroughly subdued them, bind them firmly, making (them) captives. Thereafter either generosity or ransom (them based upon what benefits Islam) until the war lays down its burdens. Thus are you commanded by Allah to continue carrying out Jihad against the unbelieving infidels until they submit to Islam.”
Qur’an:4:104 “And do not relent in pursuing the enemy.”
That is not Holy , , it is disgusting.
