There are gods such as :
Apollo
Ares
Athena
Zeus
Heracles
Poseidon
I want to know, what happened to these gods? Do they just disapear from history? Why are they involved in events then what happens? Do they disapear into the heavens?
And if you could tell me about what weapon they are affiliated with, such as Poseidon and his Trident.
Thanks.
Hercules is a demigod not a god.
Apollo is the god of archery and he has his lyre. He also has a cconnectionwith horses.
Zeus has his thunder bolt.
Athena has a spear and a shield with a gorgon’s head on it.
Ares has a lot of weapons but he used a spear and a sword with a shield. (not at the same time)
I don’t know what happened to them.
The worshippers of these gods were persecuted by Christians to the point of extinction. Only recently have they started to worship the old gods again.
Apollo – Has a bow, like his sister Artemis.
Ares – The sword. Possibly the double-bladed axe.
Athena – The Aegis, the shield which bears the face of Medusa the Gorgo, which petrifies her enemies.
Zeus – The lightning bolt, forged for him by the Cyclopes.
Heracles – The club or mace. Also, a cape and helmet made of the nearly impenetrable skin of the Lion of Nemea.
Poseidon – The trident with which he makes the Earth shudder.
Hermes – bears the Caduceus, the rod entwined with two snakes. Less a weapon than a sign of his authority.
Hades – has a helmet which renders him invisible.

It is true that Heracles was originally a demigod, but after he died, his immortal half ascended to Olympos and became the guardian of its gates – sort of the god of home protection I guess. He married Hebe, the goddess of youth.
His mortal soul, interestingly, descended to Hades like all mortals do.
When Christianity came about, they abolished all other Gods.

http://www.mythweb.com has all of there full lives listed and a matching encyclopedia of friends and foe,s
Others ahve answered about what weapons were whose.
They were (as you know) never real to begin with. THey were used by ancient peoples to explain things that they couldn’t understand, like earthquakes and floods. When the ancients grew up, they no longer needed their gods, and voila! They were gone in an instant.
Ever since Christianity came, Greek Mythology has just disappeared. It is rare to find someone who still believes in them today. Most people who still believe in it live in Greece.
