BURIED in the OBAMACARE bill is a HIDDEN FEDERAL TAX that will be applied to any HOMEOWNER when they SELL there HOME. The funds collected will be used to help fund OBAMACARE. Remember Nancy Pelosi’s famous words ” They’ll just have to wait and see whats in the bill after we pass it.” Well this is ONE thing amaong many people wont like Im willing to bet. Since another republican is trying to scare me with gloom and doom and no support (or even an explaination of what the hidden tax is), I’ll vote for 1) Obama.
Some people have been wanting to get rid of the mortgage interest deduction. I think there are more important problems with the tax code than that one. So let me guess–you were against the first time homebuyer stimulus in 2009 but still think there should be a mortgage interest deduction…?
Actually, that additional capital gains tax will also apply to rental income. I am a landlord and I am waiting to find out whether Obamacare stands. If it does, then the administration expects me to take that money out of my net profit and give it to them for Obanacare. I will have to look into raising the rents on my properties – why should I pay for my tenants’ health care?
