With minimal money to invest in advertising and SEO, is it feasible to sell from my own e-commerce site (already set up) multiple products i.e. Toys, Electronics, Kitchen Accessories etc. instead of having to pick a niche?
I can understand the logic behind finding a great niche but can i have any success selling multiple items instead?

Course you can but you really need to have a reason for why they would go to you. Are you offering the cheapest? Fastest delivery? Just work that out
The answer by @Georgina is right. You can, but it will most likely be much more difficult. One can only cut prices so far, for example.
Even finding a niche is getting harder all the time, because that’s what everyone else is trying to do.
I advise have another think about your strategic objectives (your vision).
A tip:
register a Google account and use the ‘Insights’ and ‘Adword Keyword’ tools.
These will help your SEO rating and for free.

Yes, you can. But you have to put extra effort on every products. Team work is always better than individual work. So, if you want to sell different products then you have to form a team and spread your website work with your team.
