Ok this is my first year ever voting and I know in Fl state laws, that its a felony to vote in a different precinct than what you were assigned to. I know where to go. Now what i am wondering is lets say im not affiliated with a party on my voter card. but something weird i seen on the forms and what not was that you had to vote for the candidates running in you party. ok i don’t have a “party” so what am i suppose to do? just give me some examples of what it was like for you guys to vote. i don’t wanna get there on the day and freak out and not know what to do. or have to ask the ppl working there and they don’t know what to tell me, please help
Tell them your voting as an Independent. You will still vote for your choice as president, all State and Federal Congressional offices. And any local issues in your area. You will not get to vote for choice of party picks.
Actually listen to what a candidate has to say. Don’t vote a party because your parents do it someone said you should. Just do what you want. No one will know how you vote. Theres no public record on who you vote for. Do a little research an go with your heart. Mitt Romney 2012. Look here.
They always explain it to you before you vote. Depending on what you’re voting in/for, it varies each time. They will tell you which parties are on the ballot, if you can only vote for one party or if you can mix and match. Just have some idea of what election it is and what candidates you like.
