When I was gaining weight I did weight lifting, and drank weight gaining protein shakes in addition to my meals (I drank one serving a day of Dymatize’s Super Mass Gainer, but there plenty of other similar products on the market). For foods, I ate whole wheat, eggs, nuts, peanut butter, fruits, greek yogurt, veggies… basically a healthy but high calorie diet.
I have always had difficulty gaining and maintaing my weight. I am 5 feet 1 inch tall and only weigh around 85 pounds. I have tried drinking Ensure and Carnation high calorie drinks but thatgets really old and boring after awhile! Generally I jut try to include high calorie, high fat, nutrient dense foods in my diet. Here are some foods/drinks that I eat to help me gain and maintain my weight……
– nuts (almonds, cashews, macadamia nuts, pecans)
– peanut butter
– bananas
– cheese
– ice cream
– smoothies made with yogurt, fruit, protein powder, and whole milk
– mighty milk (mix 1/2 cup of whole milk with 1/2 cup of half and half or heavy cream)
– lots of olive oil for cooking
– dried fruits
– whole grain pasta with alfredo sauce
– cream based soups
Adding a Slim Fast shake to each meal is a good way to gain some weight. NOTE: Don’t replace your meals with the shake, drink the shake WITH your normal meals.
Sugar, oily products and lack of exercise.
dont binge on junk food just eat healthy food, but eat more calories than you burn
eat anykind of fast food but dont over do it or youll gain to much
