Do Tablets Have A Good Niche In The Computing And Should I Buy A Blackberry Play?

Considering buying a tablet instead of using my phone all the time for casual browsing and surfing. My friends sister is willing to sell me a 64gb Blackberry Play for only £50. Crazy right? Bit of a 2 part question but would be nice to hear from people who own the Blackberry Play already. I need reviews of the device and suggestions of better ones. I throw myself at the mercy of Yahoo! answering community. Do not fail me 🙂

I have a 64GB PlayBook and I love it. Solid build, does the biz. BUT… it lacks the apps available on Android and it really needs to be tethered to a BlackBerry phone to get the most out of it. The on-screen keyboard is okay but you wouldn’t want to do much typing on it and the separate keyboard has never materialised in the UK.
So… depends what you hope to use it for. It’s fine for casual browsing and the graphics are very good for video and games.

The playbook is a decent tablet with a nice build quality and a decent operating system but the BlackBerry app store is a joke to be honest.
But for fifty pound you cannot really go wrong and you would be silly not to pick it up for that price because even without the apps being of high quality surfing the web etc will be absolutely fine.

Well, the blackberry doesn’t nearly have as many apps as the ipad do, any ways you can always jail break an ipad and get all the apps for free (don’t worry jail breaking isnt ilegal)
