I will leave out “the forgotten minority,” Asians for the time being as our population is so much smaller than the others. I have heard of tensions b/w all of these groups, but we really only hear about the major happenings – ex. Trayvon. There is documented white and black flights going on in the U.S. – Hispanics move into cities, blacks into burbs, whites into rural areas. There is a lot of Hispanic on white crime that the media largely ignores. Many CA ranchers have problems with Hispanics robbing them and shooting their livestock which at least some seems to be racially motivated. I as a Eurasian have been mistaken for Hispanic a lot for some reason so I do have concerns with how this group of people is perceived. What is your race, and which races/ethnic groups have the most tensions in the U.S.?
Blacks are probably the most angry in their racism towards white people. Even those without slave ancestry fall onto a racism bandwagon, although it seems that, although they are feared by some other minority groups (like Mexicans), they do not actually hold racist sentiment toward races that are not entirely white.
Spanish are probably the most culturally racist overall, even though their discrimination is far more subtle and legal (which makes it far more dangerous and/or annoying) than any other race when racism is being acted on. They seem to adapt very well and become successful, but always with the direction of driving other races out of their territory.
Uh, in my experience, the fresh Spanish immigrants who may be violently motivated by past cultures aren’t especially racist in their motives. They simply haven’t found their niche. It could be different in other parts of America.
White racism is less prevalent, since it’s split among the other race related sensation, white guilt. More whites are totally indifferent than any other race, yet the ones who are racist are quite stupid and wicked and violent, not to mention intolerant of many other races, including white(ish) people besides. Through white guilt, many white people discriminate against themselves also. Bottom line, they’re so conflicted about it that, although there are plenty of white racists, most of them don;t know what to do with it.

Roberta, this isn’t a fair question. Among all races, we will find racists. Among all races, we will find people who are violent. Among all races, we will find criminals. There is some good, though. Among all races, we will find good people who accept people as people.
From my experience, all of the above vs. blacks is the bigger issue than any other combination.
Whites and hispanics get along ok for the most part. Blacks and whites, blacks and hispanics…..not so much.
What do you mean by “race relations?” I would guess Obama has divided people like no other President since Lincoln.
I don’t care as long as minorities don’t change America’s dominant culture.
