How To Let Go Of Your Fears?

Hi,
I fear some things and wish to overcome them.
What are my fears?
Walking down the streets alone. Why?
I have in the past been close to getting mugged; been followed by a group of chavs; been asked if I wanted weed; and have nearly even been run overed.
Thing is, I am affiliated with NO GANGS or with anyone in GANGS. I live in a safe London neighbourhood and yet I am always the victim. None of my family members or relatives are victims except me.
Been trying to cut back on weight and so on.
Because of this fear, it has severely affected my confidence and my social skills. For example, I don’t trust people as much.

Fear is False/Evidence/Appears/Real. That’s the key most fears are false and your own thoughts are blowing it up and out of place. It only appears to be real when in fact it is not true and a total waste of time worrying about it.

Perfect love casts out fear. When we are exposed to situations where we are victimized it can cause fear to develop within us. We are people and look for safety. When we can’t find it, it can cause fear to develop. If the foundation of your safety and peace is in society, then you will not find much peace. If the foundation of your safety and peace is in something immovable then you will find it, regardless of what is going on around you.

    Dear,
This fear is because of something that got registered in your sub-conscious mind due to your past. One of the ways I practice to overcome something of the past is to control your sub-conscious. Don’t let it control you.
Few tips to overcome this is
    1. as soon as you wake up tell to yourself that you are not afraid of walking alone on the street and you love walking alone on the street and nothing will happen,
    2. do the same thing when you are totally exhausted and about to sleep at night. keep telling this everyday morning and night for atleast 10 time.
This is the time when your mind is inactive and it will listen to you. this will override the older fear in subconscious mind. also say this to yourself when you walk alone in a street.
Try this and let me know if this helped you. you can find my mail id in my profile. i would like to know if this worked for you.

Well, if you walk down a street which you know poses a threat, its only natural, and sensible, to be cautious. Especially if you’ve previously had a bad experience.
The reason you feel it more alone is due to exposure. Not only do you have more time to think about the possibilities of being attacked when alone, but as they say, safety in numbers. Your more likely to be overwhelmed by a group on your own.
To combat your fears, I don’t recommend you do for one. In a dangerous area, it pays to be cautious.
Otherwise, walk tall, show confidence. A lot of groups prey on those the think are weak, easier targets. Dont look as if your trying to avoid a group if you see one, act as if your not fussed about them being there. If your ever confronted, a good one i learned is to say, ”look fellas, im on my way to my grandma’s house, she’s a bit ill at the moment.” Thats worked for me 😉

Then move to a more safer neighbourhood where your relatives and family members are there. You’re not always alone. Ask your friends to come with you.
