I recently got a new lap equipped with Windows 8 (which I am unfamiliar with) and when I scroll sideways with the touchpad, it often goes straight to the Windows home screen. It does this constantly, and has become a bit annoying. How can I make it stop? Thanks!
You need to read some literature on Windows 8. It’s kinda different than 7 and you’ll need to learn how to use the gestures and the start screen to get the most out of it.http://www.hanselman.com/blog/TheMissing…http://marketing.dell.com/Global/FileLib…http://winsupersite.com/windows-8/window…http://www.techradar.com/us/news/softwar…
So you’re hitting the app switching gesture. It’s triggered when you swipe in from the left side of the trackpad. Win + I to open the Settings charm. > Chance PC settings > General. Look to where it says App Switching and turn off “When I swipe in from the left edge, switch to my most recent app.”
That will stop the switching your previous app, in this case that would be the start screen.
