I started using it since the first orig. pink glass bottle came out, I have no idea how many years ago? That WAS the ONLY products sold back then. It was unique in the early days because it was a pink fluid rather than a cream, packaged in a heavy glass bottle.
Nowhere on the packaging did it say what the product actually did. Print adverts used copy such as “Share the secret of a younger looking you” and talked about the ‘beauty secret’ of oil of Olay. The name changed in the 90’s. I’ve used the same product since then, but because of my good skin care, I’ve been taking good care of my skin since age 9, I no longer see the NEED for a moisturizer, or any brand or type for the past 3 years. My skin did the same as if I used Olay. BTW: when I used it, I use a size of a dime size portion, enough to cover my whole face.
Avon copied their marketing, by adding Honey Dew also in a pink bottle same size glass container. That was around 1972.
I started using it when the started adding UV protection in their products. I must have missed a spot, because I got Discoid Lupus, caused from the sun. It was part of a corner on my chin, that was purplish, bumpy, like someone punched me. It took 13 years for them to fade away. And no lotions or beauty products can cover or help make them fade.
LESS IS MORE, if you’re concern about chemicals. Many products today, contains TITANIUM and warning labels.
