I heard someone recently say “back when Georgetown was a Catholic School” and I didn’t know if they meant that it was no longer practicing all the church’s teachings but was still technically a Catholic School or if it literally was no longer affiliated with the Catholic Church.
It has lost a lot of it’s Catholic look. The guy who wrote the Exorcist even wrote an article complaining about it. With Pope Francis being a Jesuit, you may see that change soon. Boston College lost its Catholic character for a good 20 years, then it changed and is pretty much moving hardline Catholic.
It is a jesuit college. They don’t care if you are catholic to attend.
