Career Ideas For Sex Offender?

My son is a 26 year old male who will be registering as a sex offender after serving 3-5 months in jail. It is due to an unfortunate event where he was under the impression she was of legal age and everything was consensual (2 counts of unlawful intercourse with someone under 18 when the accuser is over 18)
He has a bachelors degree in exercise science and am 2 classes away from his masters degree. Does he stick to personal training in the private sector? Would it be possible to open a small garage gym to train adults/male athletes only?
He has also brought up getting a law degree and becoming a defense attorney.. you could say this situation inspired him to do so. He is also thinking about trying to do public speaking of some sort in relation to sexual offenses
If you have any career ideas that would be possible for an offender please fire away.. I am not looking for short-term job ideas.
Thank you for your time

Since your son is only two classes away from a Masters degree in exercise science, he should definitely complete his degree. While he is finishing his degree, he should also learn as much as he can about business and marketing. The whole arena of physical fitness can be very lucrative if personal trainers have good business sense and are good at marketing. In my opinion your son should specialize in a niche market, and make himself into a very big fish in a small pond. A very good specialty market for him would be out of shape adult males between fifty five and seventy. With all the studies being published about exercise contributing to both longevity and brain health, men in that age group are very interested in having a competent trainer (furthermore they can afford to pay a premium price). However, you son must consider himself a professional and conduct himself as a professional-no flaking out on appointments etc. Last but not least, it may be better if he started out working in a gym that caters only to men who are serious about physical fitness. Working in a garage gym might be demotivating.

If he can’t find work, he could do construction work, electrician, plumber, HVAC tech and many others.
