Affiliate Marketing Secrets

My professor assigned us this thing where we have to come up with an idea for a new channel. here are the details…

“Most cable networks do not attempt to reach a mass audience as the traditional broadcast networks do. The cable networks are content to attract only segments of the population who seek specialized or niche programming. Rock music fans have their networks; country music fans have theirs; travelers have theirs; and movie buffs have TNT, AMC, Encore and many others. On many receivers, you have channels for business, cartoons, comedy, cowboy movies, documentaries, nature shows, sci-fi, etc., etc.
Your assignment is to develop a new cable network that will launch nationwide starting in July 2013. IMPORTANT: Your network should NOT offer programming seen on existing networks. Originate your own lineup of shows. Minimum: 3 daytime shows. 3 primetime shows. You don’t have to talk about plotlines and provide character development in describing these shows. Concern yourself with themes or types of programming. Give us titles. You may NOT steal programming, including reruns, from any existing network.
Prepare a 5- to 10-slide PowerPoint presentation of the proposed network. Who is the target audience for this program? A key element of this conceptualization is to identify the network’s TARGET AUDIENCE and potential advertisers for its programming. Get to the point. Highlight only the most interesting aspects of the new network. Entertain us.”

So, I had some ideas…. BUT THERE ALREADY ON AIR! everything i think of is taken. For instance a LGBT channel, a horror channel, a art shopping channel… ect. Thing is that i have never had cable or dish tv, so i have basically no clue of what is already on.
So, any ideas?

Moments ago, I have thought that I would run a broadcast network studio that would run the whole schedule throughout each day and every week, but on last Sunday, I have borrowed a book called “This Business of Television”, I read that “TV networks do not, however, control the entire day’s schedule, instead, they typically run half the day, the rest is programmed by affiliates with local news and syndicated programming”. Then I have thought of something else, I was wondering what would happen if a broadcast network would run the entire day’s schedule?

Second and third-party ads, or spam from a source _of_ a source. For example: Someone pays Yahoo! for banner ad space, but then has to withdraw their ad at the last minute. They can’t get a refund from Yahoo!, so instead they sell or sub-lease the ad space they have to another party, or an “affiliate”.
Another way to look at it would be through the over-the-airwaves broadcast TV model. The TV networks send out a signal, or content. That content gets sent out, or repeated, at broadcast stations that are local affiliates, or second parties. Both the network and the station are separate entities in terms of buying airtime for advertising purposes. It gets even more complicated still when a local broadcast station also becomes the go-to station on cable TV as well since the cable company is _also_ a separate party when it comes to ad time. So the network can buy one set of ads, end up having to deal with affiliate broadcasters _already having_ that time in certain locations, and then end up having conflicts with the cable providers wanting a _third_ set of ads in the same place….and this is before the advertisers resell and sublet air-time they’ve bought to each other.
In short terms: It’s not just spam, it’s _complicated_ spam. Good luck figuring out whose fault this _really_ was.

2. All programs on Discovery Health-TLC must stop encouraging the birth of any more parasitic human infants and the false heroics behind those actions. In those programs’ places, programs encouraging human sterilization and infertility must be pushed. All former pro-birth programs must now push in the direction of stopping human birth, not encouraging it.
3. All programs promoting War and the technology behind those must cease. There is no sense in advertising weapons of mass-destruction anymore. Instead, talk about ways to disassemble civilization and concentrate the message in finding SOLUTIONS to solving global military mechanized conflict. Again, solutions solutions instead of just repeating the same old wars with newer weapons. Also, keep out the fraudulent peace movements. They are liars and fakes and had no real intention of ending the wars. ALL OF THEM ARE FAKE! On one hand, they claim they want the wars to end, on the other, they are demanding the human population increase. World War II had 2 Billion humans and after that war, the people decided that tripling the population would assure peace. WTF??? STUPIDITY! MORE HUMANS EQUALS MORE WAR!
4. Civilization must be exposed for the filth it is. That, and all its disgusting religious-cultural roots and greed. Broadcast this message until the pollution in the planet is reversed and the human population goes down! This is your obligation. If you think it isn’t, then get hell off the planet! Breathe Oil! It is the moral obligation of everyone living otherwise what good are they??
5. Immigration: Programs must be developed to find solutions to stopping ALL immigration pollution and the anchor baby filth that follows that. Find solutions to stopping it. Call for people in the world to develop solutions to stop it completely and permanently. Find solutions FOR these countries so they stop sending their breeding populations to the US and the world to seek jobs and therefore breed more unwanted pollution babies. FIND SOLUTIONS FOR THEM TO STOP THEIR HUMAN GROWTH AND THE EXPORTATION OF THAT DISGUSTING FILTH! (The first world is feeding the population growth of the Third World and those human families are going to where the food is! They must stop procreating new humans looking for nonexistant jobs!)
