Only a small percentage of CB affiliates succeed to a significant degree. You need to send lots of prospects to the sales pages, some offers really need a good pre-sell page on your site to warm up the customers first. Expert paid advertiser managers may be able to profit promoting CB with ads, it’s a quick way to make or lose a lot of money overnight, don’t use Google Adwords to promote CB, certain products will get you banned for life. Sales pages might get like 1% to 4% conversion, meaning you would have to pay for 25 to 10 clicks to secure a sale, depending on click costs that could cost $5 to $50 or more to secure one sale.
For most of us, the way to go is to create a quality niche site that in time attracts lots of free traffic from search engines, look at the traffic generating site as your business, and the revenue source you are using at the moment as just one option, it’s good to survey the possible products in the CB marketplace to help choose your specialty, but don’t marry yourself to one product, be prepared to move on if you don’t get sufficient conversions.
I wouldn’t bother trying to spam sites with CB affiliate links, most are on the lookout and will promptly delete them or ban you. Contributing to the conversation on a site is an acceptable way to secure a link to your own site which gains SEO, search traffic benefits, you then place the affiliate links on your own property.

I am just wondering if anybody has any tips for me: I own an affiliate marketing website- MetaphysicsGalaxy.com .. I have been getting a lot of comments over the last 6 days. People are just saying how much they enjoy the site and info etc. in the comments- however, nobody is buying the products. Any tips on how to get conversions, rather than just comments. The comments are a great sign though! Getting them constantly and all are praising the site; metaphysicsgalaxy.com. Please, any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Hello everyone,
I’ve been trying to master an affiliate business on and off for almost two years. It started really working for me only recently, to be precise a few weeks ago. I had around eight conversions a day for 5 days, which I was quite happy about. However, to my disappointment, my conversions showed up only in Google Adwords. I could not see any of my sales in Clickbank. I know that Clickbank has lags, so I waited for a couple days to see if the sales would eventually show up, after couple of day I had only 4 sales out of 40 that I have in adwords. I have had the same Google and Clickbank accounts for almost two years and I never had this problem before. I got very excited that my website was finally getting conversions, but now the described issue came up and I am totally not sure where to look for solutions. I checked everything I could think of but nothing helped. I thought that I might be having two conversion codes installed on my thank you page, but I made sure that this was the case. Any ideas on this would be appreciated. Thank you very much.

I’m really sick and tired of all of the survey and freebie offers out there running. I’m really looking for something to put out there via email, search, and sms to kick start some conversions. especially a type of offer that’s not just mmfh, free gift cards, or the like. is anyone running anything out there with a little kick?

Perhaps the simplest way to explain affiliate marketing is that it is a way of making money online whereby you as a publisher are rewarded for helping a business by promoting their product, service or site.
There are a number of forms of these types of promotions but in most cases they involve you as a publisher earning a commission when someone follows a link on your blog to another site where they then buy something.
Other variations on this are where you earn an amount for referring a visitor who takes some kind of action – for example when they sign up for something and give an email address, where they complete a survey, where they leave a name and address etc.
Commissions are often a percentage of a sale but can also be a fixed amount per conversion.
Conversions are generally tracked when the publisher (you) uses a link with a code only being used by you embedded into it that enables the advertiser to track where conversions come from (usually by cookies). Other times an advertiser might give a publisher a ‘coupon code’ for their readers to use that helps to track conversions.
