Transferring From University Of Iowa To University Of Wisconsin?

I’m not very happy here at the University of Iowa, so I am considering transferring to Wisconsin. I’m only worried because it is another big 10, but my brother goes there and I have some friends over there already. Plus it is a better school academically which is one of my concerns about Iowa. Has anyone gone through this before?
I haven’t quite found my niche here at iowa yet, I think it might be because I came with a good friend. I have no problem making friends, but I feel like people do not care about studying here and only care about drinking, which is fun but I want a school that is a bit more focused.

I Feel Like An Outcast?

My school is 95% hispanic (Mexican to be specific) and I’m supposedly Mexican too but I’m light skinned, slanty-eye’d and have black hair so everyone thinks I’m Asian. I don’t celebrate Mexican culture at all, the Mexicans at my school are gang affiliated. They think I’m “lame” for not smoking weed or drinking at 13. When my family/friends talk in Spanish I never understand them. Instead of bumping Mexican music I bump Korean Pop music (The only time I ever listen to Mexican music is to make my family happy.) And on top of that I get called zipperhead by the other students. (there are no Asians at all in this school, there was 1 Asian staff member before but he left) I also want to grow my hair out (which will cause more jokes with the fact that I wear glasses too). What do I do to stop being an outcast or the rest of freshman year. (I’m going to a school more closer to my city next year.)

The Legality Of This Situation?

So last week, a friend of mine was caught with alcohol at one of our High School football games (stupid I know), and we’re both 18. I wasn’t drinking, and didn’t get in trouble, but my friend was found out because the Principal said “Hey, give me that bottle” (we’re not supposed to have bottles from outside while in the stadium. The stadium is non school-affiliated, either.), my friend handed it over, and things went on from there.
So… did my friend have to give him the bottle? Because we’re off school grounds, does he have any right to demand that he see it?
And also, if I were to bring in a bottle during the next game with say, urine, in it, is it:
1. Legal to have a bottle of urine in public, and
2. Legal for him to demand to see my bottle?
Thanks! 🙂

Best Charity Group Dedicated To Clean Water?

I’m interested in bringing a club to my school in which I would help raise and donate money to the cause of providing safe drinking water to developing areas of the world. I’ve become aware of how crucial to life it is to have clean water by how many people simply don’t have it, the deaths it causes and the increase in quality of life it can bring to the people that it would go to. I want to know if anyone is aware of an established, supported organization that is dedicated to bringing clean drinking water to impoverished places that I could affiliate my club with. Thanks:)

Drinking Etiquette At Wedding?

I was recently at a rather fancy wedding recently. The central group was the friends and family of the bride and groom and then there were a large number of affiliates (business partners and a few direct relatives of business partners like me). Id say around 100 attendees. And there was a bar in the room before the dinning room and also a bar in the dinning room. All drinks were free.
I’m wondering what kind of drinks I am supposed to order before the dinner and after the dinner.
For example, I had some white russians before the dinner. Is it bad to order white russians before dinner?

Why Doesn’t The Tea Party Repeal The 21 Drinking Age For Everyone?

It’s no secret that the Tea party claims to follow the constitution like a 2nd bible. That being said, why don’t Tea Party Republicans seriously consider repealing the 21 drinking age for everyone (not just members of the military). That would be very consistent with their ideology, since the federal government and the supreme court B S-ed their way around the constitution when the law was passed. Plus, remember that the Tea Party marketed itself as an organization that defends freedom. If they truly defend freedom, then they should be against the government telling legal adults what types of beverages they can have and at what age. What do you say?
