What is it with guys who compliment you, say you’re gorgeous, say they think you’re an amazing person – but don’t want to be romantically affiliated with you? I’ve liked a guy for a while and we’re good friends, we flirt a lot but it’s like I’m just sort of a fun thing for him. No, we’re not friends with benefits at all…
I seem to have trouble attracting a guy who truly wants to be with me. There have been many guys who have either tried to look for more with me (I always turn those down, I’m not easy) or have said they think I’m amazing or beautiful, but none ask me out.
This trend is worrying me – like I’m impossible to love. Can any one help me out? (And please don’t say I must be easy because I’m not. I’m actually a virgin – anytime I’ve been near having sex has been too early in a relationship (ie one night stands) and I’m not down with that.
Does anyone know what the issue is?! Am I just one of those unlucky-in-love types? People may suggest it’s something to do with me, but doesn’t anyone have faults? Even the most horrible person I know can seem to get dates.

I have a serious bf I’ve been with for nearly a year now. I am 22, he is 21.
When I met him he had a niche job (the sort you don’t come by easily), and was making plenty of money. He lost that.
Since then he hasn’t held down a job (he’s had 3 in 9 months, none of which  
 lasted more than 3 weeks). He hasn’t got any qualifications outside of his old job (horse racing).
He currently works like 20 hours at his parents shop, and manages to pay all his own bills (car, insurance, mobile phone, horse shares). He however practically lives at mine, stays over every night of the week, eats the food that I mostly buy (he occasionally buys himself something, but it’s always enough for only him).
He has never once asked me for money, and I have offered it to him, but no matter how bad his situation has been he’s never accepted, and his bills are always paid on time.
I have recently found out that he quit applying for jobs months ago. I sat down with him and tried to sort out his resume and apply for jobs, but he treated it as a joke, and kept coming up with reasons for why he shouldn’t apply (things like “oh i’m too young, they won’t take me”). I’m not syure if he genuinly thinks he isn’t suitable for work or if he just doesn’t want to.
I have a strong suspicion he enjoys working 4 hours of a morning, going to the gym, then watching cartoons/horse racing at his parents before coming over to mine and getting fed/having sex. He has also said he will only take a job if it doesn’t interfere with his bodybuilding (ie – his 90 mins at the gym every day).
I’m also concerned that his horse bills (he has shares in 8 horses, none of which are good) are going to take over. He manages to pay them, but he really only gets the money through gambling money he actually earns. He pays about $500 a month in horse bills.
I’m scared that if I stay with him, it’s going to be a future of him taking care of himself, and never being able to be part of a couple.

I need advice on how to ask my best friend why she lost her virginity. Shes 17 and shes dating the most annoying, effin douche bag on the planet. All of her friends know this. Her parents HATE him. I mean doesnt that tell her something?? Anyway she got caught having sex she was keeping it a secret from everyone and became this 2 face lying ***** i must say. So she finally told everyone when she got caught and couldnt keep it a secret anymore. I honestly dont care that she did it I just wana know why she did it with him. Ugh i HATE him. He lies sooooo much hes the biggest liar in the world. He changed her as you can see. So anyway why do you think she did it?? Hes not romantic he tries to be but its all a lie. One time he bought her a necklace and said he went to Mexico and got it for her. Hes so stupid she went with him to the flea market when he got it and waited like 2 months to give it to her. So another thing im worried about is that she said she doesnt remember their “first time”. She blacks out but only when shes drunk so I dont understand why she would black out. I remember when she told me she said that he forced her now she denies it of course. After their first time he always snuck in just to have sex with her. Not to be romantic no just to screw her. He never brought protection and shes so stupid she agreed to still have sex. Shes not pregnant she took test and went to the doctor thank god. Last weekend she said they snuck to his house and they had sex. After being sooo lucky she did it. Like really! I would wait for months before doing it. It just pisses me off. Oh and to top it off the started doing it after 2WEEKS of dating. Ugh so i guess im asking what should i do?? Am i just angry?? Like i said i dont care that she did it. I’ve done it. Just why with him?? Or why is she still with him when she knows all of this stuff she admitted it to me. Is there something im missing?? I’ve seen him hit on other girls too! And he got kicked out of his church because there was a rumor about him saying that he was sleeping around with a girl. Now i wouldnt doubt it. He told her no and me no but honestly everything he says is a lie. So you dont know what to believe. Please help me. And sorry for it being so long.
