Ok, I have been friendzoned. Met this girl a couple of months ago. At first I thought she was sweet,but started falling for her. She is 23 and I’m in my 30s. Everytime we see each other she wants hugs. These hugs have been getting more intimate. She smiles at me with this “I want to pin you against the wall” look and her eyes get dialated. My dad told me she was sizing me up and we’d be in bed before too long. She tells him and me that we are just friends and she sees me as only a brother. When we hug her arms are wrapped around my neck and she stands on her toes, hell she once was almost grinding on me. Yet, she barely wants to talk to me. I can’t even get her to open up to me on Facebook. She changed her profile to single,but still has a guy who has already hurt her emotionally,but strings her along. Ok, I admit that I’m an idiot when it comes to romance and dating. You looking at a complete geek whos last relationship was over 5 years ago. Last one ended really bad and I buried myself into my work. Just need peoples opinion. Is she into me or am I just reading too much into this? Lately she has been giving me kisses on my cheek while we hug. Which is pretty much the only contact we have as we don’t really talk. Chit chatting is niche,but I can’t get her to open up.

Are your stories mostly about you in fantasy lives or do you write mostly about what you think would work commercially. I mostly write what interests me which is mostly romance or sci fi usually combined. But I get that it could have a small niche market if I wanted to sell one of my finished books. I’m usually the main character Somtimes I use my real name sometimes I give myself another.
Is it better to use made up characters? Do you know of any writers who openly admit to writing themselves into their stories?

Hypotheses of Fungi Evolution:
One hypothesis proposes that aquatic fungi evolved from ancestral flagellates (choanoflagellates) that we still find in extant protist species. The problem is in explaining that fungi are osmotrophs like bacteria and yet were flagellate like other eukaryotes before becoming terrestrial. The only remaining aquatic fungi are the Chytrids that still have flagellated spores, so are considered the most basal group extant. This indicates fungi branched before phagocytosis evolved and after sexual reproduction with motile gametes.

hi, I am a 18 year old boy who happens to be into bondage. for about 4 years now bondage has been in my life I stumbled upon it one night when I was browsing the web. back to my question, I am looking for that special someone who I will hopefully spend the rest of my life with. the reason the bondage part comes into it is because its a lifestyle and a very niche and secretive one at that. so how would I go about meeting people who are into bondage? the girlfriend bit will come later on. also are there any tips for a newbie like me.

I’ve applied to Roehampton university as a study abroad student. My GPA is lower than that they accept, but my adviser (the person who is helping me with the application process and such) said that Roehampton is usually pretty flexible and easy to work with. I explained to them, too, why my GPA is as low as it is and the affiliate from Roehampton said she thought that they could take me.
But, still, I’d like to know from others who’ve went to this uni how hard it is to get into.

I really LOVE listening to bands like Bring Me the Horizon, Asking Alexandria, Muse, Greenday, Pierce The Veil, The Architects etc. But I really don’t know how to play a musical instrument and I don’t have much knowledge on the music itself. I feel weird because all of my friends are really deep into this stuff and they know how to play instruments..while I really have no clue about music notes or anything. Do you think I value music as much as them?
