I am a student from Singapore and I’ll be going to Melbourne for 3 months. Are there are any comparative studies pertaining to biodiversity/ecology/environmental biology I could do? E.g. comparing invasive species between these 2 countries, studying a certain organism’s (that can be found in both countries) niche, etc.? I need ideas urgently, and details/advice would be greatly appreciated!

i am doing a project on invasive species, and i need to know the niche of the carpet burweed, ie. the function a species serves in an ecosystem, including what it eats, what eats it and how it behaves.
for background information, it is a small weed that has seeds that attach to fur, paws, skin etc. and thrives in open fields (eg. open parks, golf courses).
thank you 🙂

I have finished every question but this one. Please help?!
Invasive species often reach a large biomass because
A.) they are better competitors than native species
B.) they are usually producers and not top predators
C.) they often lack natural predators or pathogens
D.) their superior ability to disperse enables them to spread new niches
E.) they are often protected by the humans who have introduced them

1.) Some bird populations have decreased because their food source has flourished at a different time. What is their food source, and how has global warming caused this problem?
2.) How are ecological niches affected by global climate change, and how can invasive species profit from this?
