I’m in the process of creating a new social networking site for my local area that includes Missouri state, counties, cities, etc. I’m investigating some of Facebook’s and Google+’s features as well. Is there anything you feel Facebook, etc. is lacking or needs improvement on? I also want to have a change in the privacy as well as other user options to make site navigation easier for members. Please let me know your thoughts, and as the site grows we would love to expand to other states as well as eventually going nationwide. Also if you feel there is a certain niche of people we should target please let me know. Any support from members here will help us succeed and move forward in development and spread our work to other points in the states. Thanks alot, hope to see your feedback soon.

Im looking for different ways I can volunteer in my local community. I really am looking for religious free opportunities in my local area. I am in Fort Worth Texas and I am having a hard time finding something that is not affiliated with the church. Any direction would be great, thank you.

HI all
Im looking to start my own ebay business but i dont want to start buying massive wholesale joblots of stuff to start with. Im looking to start of small and try to order maybe a few things of each different product just to see which one slls more and continue in that direction.
I have already found a niche that i want to be in, its kind of based on what my job is, I know people personally in this field and also have a bit off experience installing them , so i feel that i do know enough about the products and how they work to try and make this happen , it also gives me an added advantage as i can have two different selling fields.
Does anyone know some sites online where i can sign up and find prices. I can get trade prices from wholesalers in my local area , but i want to pay what they pay, not what thier mark up is.
My niche is electrical parts , components , cable , I can also sub contract the work with various people i know and supply the materials on a cost price basis , to maybe earn some money of the installation itself.
cheers

No and yes no and no.
No it is not a niche business. Very few people cut their own hair…so the hair business is a universal business, not a niche. THough certain hairdressing styles can be a niche (African hairdressing in a mainly white city, English speaking hairdresser in China…that sort of thing).
Yes it is niche because most of your customer base is in the local area (people go to their local hairdresser)
and finally no, because the best way to promote a hairdressing business is to give people a good haircut, their friends say “I like your hair cut, tell me where you went” and may cross town to go to a good hairdresser.
