I’ve always synced my iPod touch to my parents’ computer, and bought stuff on my dad’s Apple ID. Just recently I got my own computer and Apple ID, and would like to sync the playlist with my music and just the apps that are currently on my iPod to my new computer. I know that I can enable Home Sharing, but I want to completely copy all of the songs and apps I want to be mine and registered on my Apple ID. Is this even possible? Should I try to put my things on a flash drive or burn them to a CD and then copy them to my computer? I would like to do this without using a software that I have to purchase or is not affiliated with Apple. I can answer questions and give more info if needed.
Thanks!

We’ve upgraded our office’s server but have run into trouble with the new computer – we’d like to swap hard disks and then wipe the new drive (in the old comp) and give it to one of our affiliates. Both hard drives are the same size (3.5″). I’m aware of the potential driver issues, but if the drivers are copied to the old drive prior to the swap, would that take care of the issues? Are there other issues I should be aware of? Things to look out for during the swap?
