Objective Statement For Applying To Grad School?

I wrote:
After recording a YouTube math lesson for a friend without any thought to it, the video quickly exploded with over 3,000 views and eventually steered me towards the education field. From the video I received a lot of interactions and feedback from people all over the world. I would have never known how much need there was for an explanation on limits with the greatest integer. Messages after messages, before I even realized, I found myself passionate about teaching.
During my undergraduate years at ——- University I took various classes from chemistry, education, to mathematics while being undecided on my major. This turned out to be a positive situation after deciding on what grade level to teach. I realized that an elementary teacher can teach a wide array of subjects. The idea of teaching in a classroom setting reminds me of the YouTube experience where I would get many interactions and make use of being technologically savvy by integrating technology for students to make the class more exciting and involved.
Furthermore, as I took the profession of teaching seriously I took classes to enrich skills that would be useful for a teacher such as Web Designing in spring 2012. For the final project I created a template website suited for a class available at: http://———. Another class is Methods and Issues in Teaching Mathematics in the summer of 2011 with Professor ———. As a freshman I recalled taking another one of Professor ———-’s class and witnessed her incredible ability to use differentiated instructions to teach. I was eager to find her different approaches teaching math and learned a great deal and even developed my own niche. Overall, I was determined and was dedicated towards to becoming a good teacher by making the best of my undergraduate years.
Ultimately, I felt the Master’s Program at —— can complement and improve upon what I have learned prior as an undergraduate. But also to extend upon what I have gained from YouTube. As an aspiring teacher I hope the program allow me the opportunity to take the next step to fulfill my career goals of getting me certified as an elementary teacher and become an asset to society.

Please point out recommendations and suggestions? Also if you found any grammar mistakes? I tried to be unique and catch their attention but I don’t really know how. I thought the Youtube was my best honest unique situation.

Do Religion-affiliated Colleges Have The Right To Discriminate Against Me For Being Agnostic?

I attend a Catholic university. It’s a really good school in my country. We have a required Theology class. We mostly keep an objective lesson but most professors can’t help but discriminate other religions and glorify Catholicism. I’m okay with that and can keep up with the lessons. I also do well in objective-type quizzes and recitations. But there are also instances where we have to recite our opinions on certain issues and of course the role of religion in it.
I never get a good grades when it comes to those kind of questions. They say I don’t “glorify” the religion enough. On one essay which asks us to describe our personal relationship with God, I gt a really low score for simply saying I respect religion but I don’t subscribe to it.
Do they have the right to discriminate against me like that? What am I supposed to do? Lie?

Does The Media Have A Massive Influence On Society?

I personally feel that it does, and I seek to attain a better insight. My reason for believing it does is that the newspapers all write in a bias, rather than objective way, about news and events. I don’t know if its done in such a way to appeal to their target market (their customers), or whether the papers are written in such a way to achieve a higher purpose, or both. In the UK, our new “coalition government” is still in its teething stages but it seems like the newspapers are reflective of what this new government stands for. All of a sudden, there is this “uproar” about the numbers on welfare / benefits. I’ve read a few newspapers today and they all attack people in benefits at some point, and some of them make it their main story. I believe this is to soften the blow when our so-called coalition government phases out the benefits system. After all, there has never been such focus placed on the numbers on benefits in previous years. It would seem like the media can be used as a political tool for social reform. I’ll tell you a secret, I live in Northern Ireland. And ever since the leaders of the two contesting groups agreed to try to reach some sort of an agreement, the news stations and papers have flamed any action taken by either side, and crime has dropped substantially. Such action was widely accepted as part of our heritage, culture and lives, even though the majority detested it; and this has changed thanks in part by the media. The wasting young men in our society used to commit crimes because it was the “cool to be bad”, but now that we’ve had a major paradigm shift such crimes aren’t as common as no one wants to be hated by the masses. And as for the papers, why do they broadly state that all claimants are “Workshy” and never express that there are individuals out there who need such a system to survive?
