After my question ‘Did you feel insulted by John Cena’s comment on Raw last night that said ..’ this has got me thinking about how many of you are knowledgeable in regards to WWE & it’s audience?
It’s no secret that WWE’s fans are a lot of kids, but it is actually proven statistics that the audience of kids are very very small, theirs a clip somewhere of Vince saying this (maybe Youtube) & how kids are classed as under 12’s, teens then adults from 16 upwards, however the majority of fans are actually between 20’s up until mid 40’s & even above, mainly in their 20’s & 30’s however is the biggest audience, of which they know through ticket sales & audience stats.
That’s not taking away how big & important the audience of kids are, as although it’s only a very small percent, because WWE is so huge that small percentage of kids makes a hell of a lot of money for WWE by merchandise sales, specially with all the John Cena merchandise.
I was wondering how many of you actually know/realise this as judging by some of the answers in the previous question, it made me wonder.
When you listen to the crowds chants, they are dominated by adult voices, unless Cena appears which it’s girls & kids & the boo’s are dominated by adults, but think about things such as the Ziggler chants, this is pretty much the whole arena & these are fans of wrestling, whichj is why Ziggler gets cheered even though his character is a hell, but it’s because he is so good at what he does (No one bumps & sells the way Ziggler does on the roster, he’s very old school which proves that old school is the best), also the fact that all the old school stuff is marketed so much & saving WWE TV a lot now (the re-occurance of this from IC belt, to ice cream bars, to legends appearing & mentioned so much in promo’s is all a part of this), also shows that the WWE audience is actually made up of mainly adults.
However, the small percentage of kids is still huge enough to keep happy because of the size of WWE, they make so much money from the kids buying merchandise.
Debate away & trolls feel free to troll also, as this is also another post with a perfect opportunity for you guys!

Okay, so everyone always told me that college would be the best 4 years of my life.. i’m more than halfway through my sophomore year, and so far they have been the worst years by far.
My first year i started off at a top university in california, and was really excited to go. Once i got there, i realized how big it was and how lost i felt, and i tried to make friends and find a niche, but still found myself with nobody to hang out with on the weekends… I have always been very academically driven, so i did spend a lot of time doing homework, but so did everyone at this place.
Anyways, I would cry myself to sleep most nights, and really hated the school. I was having an awful time, and decided that i should transfer, in the hopes of creating a fresh start. I transferred to a top liberal arts college on the east coast, and am now having an even worse time. I tried much harder this time to make friends and seek connections and join clubs and groups, and I feel so much worse here than at my old school. I cry myself to sleep quite often, and have had 2 therapists tell me that i’m clinically depressed (and i promise, i was happy as a clam in high school, so this is a new thing.) Also, during november and december of this year, i contemplated suicide multiple times a day, and came somewhat close to carrying it out a number of times.
Needless to say, I’m not having the best years of my life. I can’t drop out of college, because A.) my parents would never allow it, B.) I would never let myself live it down, and C.) I have nothing else to do. I also have no idea what i want to major in, and have lost interest in what i thought i was going to major in (so now i have no way to feasibly fit in any other major before i’m supposed to graduate.)
What should i do? I’m miserable on so many levels.

I used to create this webcomic called “Cheap ZEN Soup” a couple of years ago, but it never really took off – and then I got caught up in my freelance writing duties and I stopped having time for the daily webstrip experiment routine.
Looking back in perspective, sometimes I cannot help but wonder… should I keep working on this experiment? Would anybody possibly get into it? Would there be an audience… who knows? Is that even important (ok I’m going into rhetorics as we speak)?
Whatever, just check this out:http://cheapzensoup.com/2009/01/01/begin…
Let me know what you think. It’s kind of like a meta-webcomic with a twist. It you like stuff like Scott McCould’s meta-comics, or niche manga like Bakuman, G Senjou Heaven’s Door, and Even a Monkey can Draw Manga, maybe even old-school cartoonists like Harvey Pekar or Robert Crumb… maybe you’ll enjoy this as well.
