Hi guys,
I discovered internet marketing about 3 months ago and have already got 2 small sites running but still learning the ropes.
I just have a question that I am stuck with, so I was hoping that someone might be able to help.
My recent experience and passion has been with bringing a product to market (which I managed to do successfully) and I’d like to start a blog on that – not claiming to be an expert but sharing my experiences and getting experts in to interview.
The problem is I have had trouble finding good ‘money’ keywords based on Pat Flynn’s Keyword research webinar criteria – the SEO competition looks fairly high and traffic ok-low. Looking at the competition, I am confident I can provide a better authoritative site than most of them but without those money keywords would I just be wasting my time?
I’d love to capitalize on the experience I have had over the last few years and share the lessons I’ve learned with others but obviously do not want to ignore all the advice i’ve been reading on the importance of picking good keywords.
Should I go with my passion/experience and expertise or should I scrap this idea as being too risky (not enough traffic/too much competition) and focus on a different niche all together?
Any advice you could give would be much appreciated – and Thank you!!

I have come to the stage of applying to sixth firm collages and I am unsure how to promote myself without sounding arragent. I also don’t now what things to stress, what they like to hear, how to let my passion and need to go to there school really eliminate through my application. How to make myself different from all the other applications they must receive. My niche is art, how do I show this. Help!!

Hello, yahoo contributors. I have a question that will question my shallowness. I am interested in how much work does it take to monetize a blog.
To rule it out, I’m talking 500 $ a month. This is.. let’s say, my top goal. My question really comes down to numbers. How much money do pay-per-click ads generate? How much money do banners generate? I know this all comes to traffic, but how much traffic should I have to be able to cash out 500 bucks a month? I know a successful blog comes down to a niche, to passion, to quality content. But the only thing I care about right now is dough. Being smart, as I consider myself to be, I know I could to this. I have no problem in writing low class material that would bring stupid audience and no principles when it comes down to this.
Please don’t judge me, I’m not really like this (you can ask my girlfriend, she knows I’m awesome), but this is the truth when it comes to this particular case. I would appreciate it if you could help me (again, what I’m looking for are numbers).
Thank you.

I’m now on my last year of high school, and I have no idea what the hell I am going to do. Searching for colleges us very intimidating, and my research has shown many biased answers. I have always had a passion for video games, and I can’t see myself doing anything else, and still being happy. From the extensive research that I have done, I understand that it is a very difficult and competitive industry to get in to. I’m not exactly sure what I would do to contribute to a development team quite yet, but I’m desperately trying to find my niche. I don’t know where to start, and id appreciate some outside, and relavent opinions. Thank you very much.

I’ve tried the online route to try to find my “passion” but I still come up empty. Although I do have some interests, none of them can be translated into a paying job; either because I don’t have the skills or those opportunities just don’t exist in my city. Just feel like I’m in a dead-end job and going nowhere even though I went to college. What can I try now?
