Does anyone have a suggestion as to how I could trade equity in a website that I just started in exchange for marketing? I was thinking maybe I could give something like 10% or 15% ownership to someone or some group of people who would in turn be in charge of marketing and making the website big. The website just launched yesterday and I’m not doing too well in getting it out there. I think I need someone with much more experience in marketing and publicizing. Any recommendations would be great. Thanks a lot.
The website by the way is www.polltopia.com, and it’s a site where users can create polls for other people around the world to vote in (sort of similar to yahoo answers, except with polls). You can also view statistics about who voted, including votes by state/country, gender and age group. Commenting on polls is also permitted. The site uses a secret algorithm to ensure that even non-registered users can only vote once (even if they delete their cookies, clear their history, etc.). Thanks again.

Buy on rumours, sell on news?
The secret polls put the Greek democrats firmly ahead (pro-bailout), so unless something extraordinary happens, it’s likely good news.
But the daily charts for many stocks are bearish.. e.g. C, many others.
So how will you trade this?
Will you buy today hoping to sell next week in spite of questionable technicals?
Or wait for Monday to decide?
Assuming markets gap up on Monday

I’m opening a website soon which lets users sign up and manage polls. Not going to go far into detail but the question is, how big do you have to be to give yourself some pay ($100-200 a month). I know it all depends on your site traffic and niche and such but I’m not aiming for anything as successful as formspring/twitter/facebook and I’m wondering how hard it will be to make this worth my time. I’m spending $800 on the site development and then will be working on bringing users to my website. I figure if I have 500 active members I’d get at least 50 page views from them and their friends every week, giving me 25000 page views a week and 100,000 a month.. Even at a lot CPM this would be a decent profit for me, right? I know I cant guarantee page views but how terrible does this idea sound? Thanks! 😀 open to ANY and ALL suggestions/comments.

Transporting a bunch of high school students to the polls after being brainwashed. When did the democratic party become so shady? Are they too closely affiliated with liberals?
