I have been waiting for this moment for a rather long time! Yeah!! I FINALLY got my 60 inch TV.
I would like to know if I should make this other decor move. The TV is sitting on a cabinet because we do not want to put it on a wall mount. The ceiling is normal height and now there is about 3 feet of blank space above the TV. The whole TV/stand unit sits inside a niche in the wall right next to the fire place.
Would it be ok to place a long metal art decor above the TV?? Wish I could attach a pic of the empty space and the metal decor.

yes if it looks well why not, its always good to try something new. but remeber that the t.v. is suppose to be the main focus so don’y take that away. =)
You have to be careful what you put above the television as not to be distracting when watching television. Therefore, if you need to hang something to fill in that blank space, it should be close to the wall color so you know it is there but it is not screaming out “Here I am”. Is there any way to soften the metal decor by rubbing some wall paint on it?? This way it will add texture and design without being distracting to the eye while viewing the television. Sixty inch TV? wow, that is just four inches shorter than I am!!!
