This is a question about the CONAP Army Education program
After this year in college, I will have completed all the required courses for a Communications major. That means I will just have to take possibly 8 elective classes to fill up the remaining credits to have a degree. I know I can take these classes with CONAP, but here is the question…will my degree say The University of Rhode Island, or will it say whatever college I finished my degree at (assuming URI is not affiliated with CONAP). I looked on the CONAP website and URI is not on the list of schools you can get a Bachelor’s Degree in the army. I dont know about other branches.

*Okay, I’ve figured this out…the question was too long, and YahooAnswers cut me off. Sorry for the confusion.*
A friend of a friend was selected for promotion to management at the Wal-Mart where he worked. They drove him to another building nearby, separate from the store, led him into a room – all the while in a very hush-hush, top secret manner – and there he was told to watch a training video. They also made it clear to him that he was not, under any circumstances, to share with others what he had seen in this video. What he did see, in that video, he described as such blatant propaganda, specifically against labor unions, that he was instantly rendered unable to stomach the idea of management, period. He turned down the position. I believe I was even informed that he may have just quit his job entirely. Not sure about that part, this is something I was told about several months ago.
At least in my area, there are attorneys who have been contacted with requests to file a lawsuit against Wal-Mart. Did they take any of these cases? NO. Why? Because Wal-Mart is so big, so powerful, that any isolated lawsuit would stretch on for years, whether or not the plaintiff won at all, and eventually force the plaintiff into sleeping in a cardboard box on the street, because the legal fees alone would destroy their pocketbooks. These attorneys seemed to care too much about the clientele to even bother with such a risk. This is why the class-action suit mentioned above is a class-action suit in the first place…it is the only truly effective fight against such a behemoth. The company remarked that they would find it easier [whatever they mean by that] to treat every case individually, and that seems to tie in with the truth about their “ethics”…or lack thereof…does it not?
Am I the only one who feels that this company, if not others [Target, KMart, others…] is behaving as the true enemy of Capitalism? Is it all a sign that Wal-Mart is a problem for this country [depending on how problematic we view one economic system over another]? Child labor, something that would NEVER happen in America, unless a few rotten incidents happened to slip through the cracks, partnership with communist countries, mistreatment of employees, destruction in any other form it chooses to implement for the sake of itself?

Ohhkaii so this is my first question ^^
And its quite confusing .
Its just I dont know who I am . I feel so abandonned . As if no one wants me in their life . Everybodys forcing me to do things I dont like . My favorite / talent is art & music (piano or vocals) but my parents dont appreciate it . They want me to be good at the academics , something I really really try to do good at , but its just … I dont know how to explain … not something my HEART wants .
If I told my parents I want to be a model , theyd be screaming at me and ground me for years and not talk to me .
And my school life . My friends , for example . I never feel like fitting in . Dont get me wrong . I have a lot of friends . But not one best friend that I can actually trust and share my feeling with . And guys . I attract the wrong type of guys . Jocks that only want a one night stand or seeing if I can fck them hard . I want a nice boy that I can relate to . Likes my type of music (rock , screamo , bands) & knows how I feel .
Whats wrong with me ? Have I just not discovered my niche in this world yet ?
Also a little more information : I have a councellor / therapist .
And next month Im going to check if I have any sort of depression or short attention span (what was it called again ? A_ _ )
And my life is exactly the same as the song “Welcome to My Life” by Simple Plan .
But help me please ? [:
Thank you ! <3
BTW If you need help leave your question here ^^
Thanks again 😀

I really like crows, and I have a small collection of stuffed ones I’ve found at flea markets and gift shops (their names are Duke, Jeremy, Onyx, and Straw Hat) and I’ve made a few little ones out of felt (their names are Big Bertha, Sonny, Maryanna, and Mildred). However, with the upcoming movie “The Owls of Ga’hoole” being promoted these days, I’ve noticed really cute little beanie babies of all the main owl characters…I have about three of them, and they are nestled next to Duke and Jeremy w/out apparent problem.
However, I am in conflict about this bcuz I read somewhere that crows and owls have always had enmity b/tw them (this is why Jeremy refuses to enter the chamber of The Great Owl in The Secret of NIMH). But I don’t have anything against owls, myself – and I happen to think barn owls in particular are pretty darn cute. 🙂 I also like Bob and Terry from Where the Wild things Are. 🙂 However, when I picked up the second book of the Owls of Ga’Hoole series to flip thru it, I was so put off by the disparaging manner in which they talk about crows in the first chapter, that I decided to skip over that part. I do plan to see the movie, though, when it comes out, cuz it looks darn cute. 🙂 Could someone help me with this owls vs. crows dilemma? For that matter, why did they become enemies in the first place? Why can they just get along, as the old saying goes?
