If you’re not already well into your medical education, you have a good decade or more of training until that’s an issue. There is no way to predict what is going to happen to US medicine in that time. You might end up being a government employee with an average salary.
Income is something to consider when you are fully trained and looking for work.
If money is your primary motivation, then forget medicine. It’s not worth it and we don’t want you.
sound like we have a money-motivated doctor here, who forgot about his motivations to get in med school in the first place. if you think about money, study finance.
medicine is dedication. when you dedicate enough, money will follow you. so dont worry just yet. you will be paid enough to get by. i have not seen any md who has no food to eat. relax.
