Its having lots n lots of customers you can market to, that you build on over time, which makes affiliate marketing successful. Its not an overnight get rich quick scheme. only a lottery win will do that.
You want to have a website that is so interesting that people pay a subscription fee to read it. They pay you $10 a month and you give them a password to enter. If you get 100 subscribers, you are making $1,000 a month.
There are some things you know that others would pay to read. You could even do an Introduction to Yahoo Answers for newcomers.
