There’s much more about the republican and democrat numbers slumping in the article itself…
excerpt…
For the second month in a row, the number of Americans who identify themselves as Democrats has fallen to a record low.
In September, 34.6% of American Adults identified themselves as Democrats. That’s down nearly half a percentage point from a month ago, a full percentage point from two months ago, and is the smallest percentage of Democrats ever recorded in nearly eight years of monthly tracking.
At the same time, the number of Republicans slipped from 33.8% in August to 33.1% last month.http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_c…
I think it’s neutral. These things happen in cycles; party disaffiliation was also very high in the 70’s.
It’s a great thing but we’ll see if that’s true in November.
they (govt types)…need to be scared…most of the dems ignore us,and too many repubs do it also…fire their azzez…
Sounds like that terrible Tea Party affect!
The trend of the American independent has been building for the better part of 20 years. It is a good thing.
all Americans should be independent; it’s the only way to make politicians earn our votes. they don’t deserve to have it easy by just telling the faithful what they want to hear.
Yes.
sord of.
Unfortunately they still VOTE party-line, even if they don’t identify with a particular party.
Only Dems and Repubs can get elected.
Since members of both political parties are playing the same game and are mopre interested in NOT making the big changes so they can be re-elected, its a very good thing
We are the three party system now Deomcrats, Republican and the Permanetly Pissed Off
I think many people are fed up with both party elites. It is evident in many of the primaries, the rhino republicans are not being nominated again. They are mad, and I say too bad. It is better that a Democrat win, then a rhino Republican.
Yes, people are waking up and realizing that both parties have essentially the same agenda. Real change will come from outside the 2 party establishment.
Yes, tea party candidates are upturning Republicans left and right. Still the true Obamaites say the tea party is a republican ploy. A ploy attacking republicans? Really? They are not capable of being objective. Some look out over the sea of droolers and sadly say that maybe it is time to put the republic to rest. I, as a father, can not accept their decision.
Yes. It means that there is increasingly a chance of a third party forming.
For now it could be, But won’t last.
Sounds like a FOX5 poll.
