Hearsay? Or No? School Help?

I am apperently bullying this girl because one of my friends wrote ***** on her desk and she got me suspended then she got scared I would tell the school she has a gun on her because she had toold me b4 when we were friends so while I was expelled she said I bring a knife to school and then got her friends to testify and they checked me and my locker and found nothing but are still investigating wtf idk what to say there als was a rumor goin around about me being in a gang or affiliated whatever they like to call it but they confirmed it not to be true and idk what to do I mean I got my friends to say I have not ever owned one but do they have anything?

    Hearsay is used all the time to investigate cases. Hearsay is only inadmissible during trial. So even if it was hearsay, if it leads to them uncovering other evidence they find, that other evidence would be allowed. Just the hearsay comments would not be allowed. Good luck.

    Hearsay is an out of court statement offered to prove the truth of whatever was asserted in the statement. It’s inadmisible in court–but the rule ONLY applies to court. Not school.
