and they posted a question of MINE on their site AND all the answers I got. No one got credit, Yahoo, me, or any of the people that answered!

Who are these people and how do I report them? There’s got to be something illegal going on here. I’m 99% sure all those other questions they posted are from Y!A as well. This is plagiarism right? And I know for a fact that they aren’t any affiliate of Yahoo either….

This Website Has Stolen/plagiarized Yahoo Questions And Info?

There are 2 problems here:
1) Yahoo allows the use of all the material here on yahoo answers by other sites, provided they give credit. They do this using specialized code readily available to developers here:http://developers.yahoo.com/answers
They call it ‘picking the YA brain’ or something equally odd. And we have given them permission to DO this (read the TOS VERY carefully; we do give them the right to reuse our material).
2) Yahoo provide RSS feeds all OVER this site, on the Home page, on question pages, in the Advance Search results screen. So it is easy for anybody with a bit of knowledge to simply use one of these feeds and pull any information off of here that they want to, with or without credit to YA.
Finally, while it may be illegal for sites like the one you linked to ‘steal’ material from YA, there are so MANY of these sites and they are so small and have so few assets, that it is economically unfeasible for Yahoo to do anything about this type of theft of service. The fact that you only found ONE site is amazing. I’ve found at least a dozen different ones with some of my content on it and in some VERY strange places, as well!
