EVKS is a freak among the front line leaders of the congress in the state, for speaking bitter truths boldly, even within Congress forums as well as in public! He was one among many congress leaders defeated in last General Elections by the laxity of their own coalition parties who did not work for the coalition candidates! So ths may be thought to be a voice of revolt due to the subtle betrayal, but not quite so! He was always known to be forthright in his views!
He had recently charged that the free colour TV distribution is not aimed at any public good, but to gain profits for the ‘n’ number of TV channels owned by the extended family of the State CM! In other words, the cunning CM had pretended to help party to win elections, by de facto bribing poor people with a non essential item (when they are already in dearth of umpteen essentials, from food stuff, kerosene to cook and so forth)! The massive monthly receipts earned by Sun Group and Kalaignar Group are no secret!
It is not clear why the major opposition (Read Jaya) does not take the issue to the courts to expose the misuse of public money to benefit an industry in which the rulers have interest!
If it was food or cloth subsidy, it was ok, because the private trade does not benefit in any big way by those schemes, but not so with distribution of TVs to poor or pumpset motors to farmers!
Apex Courts would most likely rule (going by their daring verdicts in the past) that when homeless people abound in the state and unemployment overflows, there should be no drain of pubvlic money on unproductive freebies, since it is not merely a wrong economic decision (which may be the prerogative of rulers to commit) but a glaring bribe to the people to earn commercial gains to the rulers as well! Besides the highly probable kickbacks earned in the procurement of these goods, there is the vicious misuse of sellling them by poor recipients (even buy back by party workers themselves!) in the market, to get the hard pressed money for the families (there has been many police catch of such goods hijacked to other states and to local markets)! The Poor still deem these items as a ”luxury” which they can not enjoy paying monthly rentals to service providers!
Well, what is your take on this very sensitive issue that may grow into major wastage if not checked by aggressive protests by society?

Is Dmk Govt Using Public Money For Personal Advantages As Charged By Their Own Coalition Leader Mr Evks?

dmk chief karuna is a follower of the proverb pirappokkum ellaa vuyirkkum. you know he invites all the people as udan pirappu so it is his family only and entire people are his family members only and thereby it is his family money only and he takes it and hands over it to the “needy” people only and who are the needy people as the family chief he only can decide it is it a crime you yourself think and decide.
It is obvious.The whole economy of Tamil nadu is in shambles.Dr.Karunanidhi is utilizing mostly of Central Government s money meant for various central schemes for his freebies and not from State s revenue.State s economic progress is slowing down for past three years.State s revenue is stagnant.Tamilnadu Electricity Board and State Transport Corporation suffer for want of money.
With due respects to Elangovan, I have to express my doubt if he is seriously concerned about the waste of govt money or just expressing his displeasure to the partner more than the ethics of his well known activities. The colour TV scheme was announced during last election eve itself and the next election is due now and does the veracity of the scheme dawn on the leader only now?! Also note that he had not spilled a word about the enormous drain to the Central Exchequer by the dubious Spectrum allocation committed by the DMK Central Minister with obvious blessings of the congress power centres !!
So the leader’s ”forthright views” on colour TV at least, does not thrill me the least! There is already swing in a major section of the national party at state level to delink the political partnership early, to which he also subscribes greatly! Recent attempts of Rahul to strengthen the congress free from the dependency on regional outfits who only ”use” their organisational base for their good, is an added promise to encourage his dissent views! The weakness of spectrum scandal weighing on DMK also emboldens him to take liberty with the partner! After all DMK chief also irritates the congress buddies by blacking out the contribution of the central funds to many welfare schemes and taking all credit to his party!
So there is nothing more to the politician’s charge than a repition of a well known fact among the people about the govt using all the public resources according to the whims of the party Chief:
like starting a dummy Cable Corporation with massive outlays only to be dumped coolly;
conducting gala Tamil Conference with great fanfare, dumping public money for sole purpose of self patting and incidentally helping the party contractors too to benefit from the massive contracts for the arrangements and more importantly to side track people’s attention from pressing problems of price rise, unemployment, power crisis, unending riverine issues that tell badly on farmers’ livelihoods, etc etc!
sanction free motor pumpsets (to replace burnt motors due to acute power fluctuations?!!) to farmers! who can not run them in summer anyway, when they most need the motors, due to frequent power shedding / increasing costs of diesel etc!!
sanction massive scheme of concrete houses to the poor at enormous outlays, when the already built Group HOuses, the Slum Clearance colonies, the SC / BC hostels etc are worn out badly, cracking and leaking, many risking a fall any time, for want of any maintenance and repairs for years together, as reported in the media day in and day out (due to elections in the offing more such news are flashed obvioiusly under pressure from inmates and ACtivists)!
So I would rather praise Dr Subramaniyam swamy who exposes more real issues (along with his weird political predictions, to amuse us to weather out the heat of anger!) than the Congress leaders who speak only known truths after exposures have been made!!

The biggest problem is that about 99% tamils are suffering from inferiority complex. At the same time they do have superiority complex as well.
This sort of imbalance between these two complexes tamil people are allowing DMK like parties which are actually destroying the tamils. I know many Iyengars and Iyers working out side of Tamilnadu because they are tamil brahmins. In tamilnadu DMK and other parties are anti brahmin parties(I am buddhist so i have no privilages to either brahmins or non brahmins. But I do have some privilages to humanity).
One tamil iyer working in CBD Belapur told me that, In some parts of tamilnadu, brahmins are treated by DMK party works as inferior. But at the same time, it is only Iyers and Iyengars of tamil nadu who are doing excellent in either Science, Technology, IT and Several other sectors.
Even the famous mathematician Srinivas Ramanjam is a tamil brahmin. the Noble price winner CV Raman and the other fellow, Chandr shekher subramaniam is also tamil brahmin.
DMK is playing stupid caste politics and attracting tamil votes.
How come a Party working againist Anti Caste system could abolish castism. How that is possible.
A party say there should be no caste system in india(including ambedkar supporters) . At the same time they say I am this sub caste, you are this sub caste and play caste politics.

Color TVs distribution, Rice per Rs2 kg, distributing moneym supplying liquor for free of cost, these are all gimmicks .
Many people say this is happening because india has not achieved 100% literacy. But even if we achieve that we do have the same problem.
All this problem is due to Indians have NO FEAR of GOD. Indians are Atheists. They dont believe in God and they dont believe in Ethics and moral. How many indians daily read Upanishads and Vedas. How many of them could understand the real theme behind vedas or upanishads. Absolutely None.
So turn india into a complete Religious Country and teach every body upanishad and veda and ask and force them to impliment that. All problems will Fuckkoff.
