no it’s affiliated with terrorists
Yes. Israel is capitalist and free market in nature. Generally, the left is anti capitalism.
well people who use words like blood libel seem anti-semitic to me
It would be more affiliated with the right.
The right in general has more Christian religions and therefore has more issues with other religions.
The left is more non religious or open to other religions not to say that they are not Christians also but normally not to the extent of the right.
This has not always been the case. Actually it was almost backwards in the days of our founding fathers.
Anti- Zionism is not antisemitism.
Historians have classified six explanations as to why people hate the Jews:
Economic — “We hate Jews because they possess too much wealth and power.”
Chosen People — “We hate Jews because they arrogantly claim that they are the chosen people.”
Scapegoat — “Jews are a convenient group to single out and blame for our troubles.”
Deicide — “We hate Jews because they killed Jesus.”
Outsiders, — “We hate Jews because they are different than us.”
Racial Theory — “We hate Jews because they are an inferior race.”
It’s not about political affiliation as much as it’s about the above reasons. I don’t think you can say any one group is more antisemitic than another group.
Most anti-Semites are tradionally conservative right wingers.
Like the John Birch Society – radical right wing jew-baiting, propaganda organization and in fact the parent organization to Fox TV.
Them calling others “anti-semitic” is blatantly hysterical.
Your question reads “modern-day persecution”
of jews
The left would like to see peace in the middle-east, unfortunately there exists the state of Israel. The eyes and ears to the west.
So, forsake a country of people fleeing ww2 to the most unhospitable
tract of desert in the middle-east. allied to the west
for those countries which would be happy to see the western world wiped from the face of the map
Ronnie – They were given the crappiest strip of land, it wasn’t until they turned it into a country the whinginging started from the countries that first laughed out loud….history
It is affiliated with both sides of the political map.
In America and Europe, antisemitism is often affiliated with the far (FAR) right – especially parties who are anti-immigration and believe in diluting the non-white Christian population of the place they live in. However, the sensible right (i.e Republicans Conservatives) are more likely to have things in common with Israel, and by extension – with Jews, and are therefore not Antisemitic. Generally speaking, Israel is a direct product of the Jewish mentality, which is (again, generally) capitalist, democratic and encourages individuality.
Then there’s the sensible left, who is also not Antisemitic, and supports pluralism. And then there’s the radical left, which is very much affiliated with antisemitism. A good example is David and Ed Miliband of the Labour party in England. They have both had to deny their Jewish roots, even though their grandmother was in the holocaust, to assure supporters that they are not affiliated in any way with the so-called Zionist country.
It is sad, but it seems as though the radical left IS generally more affiliated with antisemitism than the radical right, especially nowadays.
Zionist is not a name exclusively for jews, many Non-Jews are Zionists especially the most ardent Christian believers in the biblical story that once the Jews have returned to their promised land, (Zion) the 2nd coming will happen, thus causing judgement day, the world will end and the faithful will go to heaven for eternity (so they support Israel because they believe it will cause the end of the world and all true believers (i.e them) will be rewarded with life ever after in paradise)
The most noticeable followers of this are some churches of the Evangelical sub-sect of Christianity, as Evangelicals tend to be on the right of the political Spectrum, they naturally feel that anyone who doesn’t support their actions is a left winger
as such anti-zionism is a label tagged to the left
the much more straight forward antisemitic (which is hatred of Jews) is a label still tagged to the right
All this hogwash can be whittled down to……The jews formed Isreal by ousting the Palestinian people who now are pushed into a strip of land that is highly populated. The Jews have persecuted these people for over 60 years with the aid of the USA which is mostly or totally controlled by the Jewish lobby. If you break it down…..Isreal creates concentration camps THE GAZA. Remember the Palestinians are SEMITES too. Isreal has struck out at all its arab neighbors and is based next to most high oil producers. Then after all this Isreal and the USA wonder why it is distrusted and hated. All this from a country that opens Holocaust centres faster than Burger Kings. With their history of sffering they should know better but they dont….which leads me to believe that the Jews dont mind Holocausts……as long as its not aimed at them.
Absolutely. The left vilifies anyone at anytime if it helps them achieve their politcal goals..today they are friends…but tomrrow the left may have to sacrifice them–they think of it as collateral damage–not really two faced or prejudice.
The left can rationalise why Hitler had to slaugther 6 mil people–and can justify Mao’s mass murdering.
Why?
They do not believe in the Holy Bible or her laws.
