A lot of people where I live (Cali) love K-Pop. I’m Korean and I’m not much of a fan of K-Pop
It’s not even popular in Asia itself. It’s a gay music.
It’s gaining populartity all across asia! Form the south, to the north, to the east to the west, Korean pop culture is spreading fast thanks to it growing kpop industry. There are kpop fans throught Europe and even in Brazil (i.e super junior)! It is gaining popularity on the U.S because of kpop groups and artist trying to break into the U.S music market and/or already have (i.e BoA Kwon, The Wonder Girls). I am a victim of the new wave of kpop sweeping the world

No, I don’t think it’s getting that big. It’s not even as big as Japanese rock yet, and hardly anyone has heard of Japanese rock on the news. I like how much Korean Pop gets so much attention though.
When there are the big groups and small groups doing world tours then that means it’s getting big. For now they’re not.
