Design an organisms that occupies either a low energy or high energy niche.
Your answer should describe how the organism copes with the following environmental stresses:
Calories
Oxygen and Carbon Dioxide exchange
Water balance
Metabolic waste
Infectious agents
Extremes in temperature
A good approach would be to think about the way the organism responds to these stresses and think about the systems involved.
Good luck
DO NOT USE AN EXISTING ORGANISMS
Thank you for the help.

Well, seeing as i am not a pot head and im not “brain dead” i think people will be able to see it from a different light.
first of all, there a tons of good things about weed, and plenty of bad things.
some good things are: weed is only harmful to extreme addicts and people who get “bad” weed
its just as bad as alcohol and cigarettes, if not safer
Alot of pot heads i know are not any less intelligent from smoking(actually, some are smart and now are thinking more)
weed is so popular that alot of socially challenged people find a place with pot heads, smoking or not.
(there are tons more but i dont wanna waste time…)
some bad things are:
Weed is a gateway drug
weed has been known to make people more paranoid
weed, just like ANY drug, can be harmful in certain situations
Its plain old illegal.
I think that despite these cons, weed should be legal for a few reasons,
1.would reduce crime because with government regulating it, drug dealers would be non existent (much like the banning of alcohol, weed being illegal creates a market…)
2. With government in full control of weed market, two good things can happen. A. Government can keep weed clean and safe, also keeping records of how much a persons’ doing, so they dont overdose, and what they’re doing (i mean smoking wise) so they dont have “secret ingredients” and B. Government can profit off of it just as the drug dealers are doing, bringing in funds for our economy issue.
3. A lot of people want it. (although i admit it has been voted on, right?)
4. Plenty of people only aren’t smoking because it’s illegal
i know there are more good reasons, so feel free to add them as well. dont give me bogus answers like “it kills brain cells” (its not like your body doesn’t make more) or “it makes you stupid”(you make smoke because your stupid, but your not stupid because you smoke). be honest and fair and dont disrespect me for me deciding to support them, just like i dont disrespect you for not.

Ok so last month I applied to several internships for the summer…b/c I was desperate and many of the due dates to apply had past….so I applied to like 7 of them. One of them contacted me…but its one of the one’s that I really didn’t want to do because I would be working for a different political party that I am affiliated with. But I really need an internship for the summer…so idk- is this ethically ok to do?

I want to shave my head to raise funds for cancer research in children. It breaks my heart to hear about children with cancer, and it makes me think about how my life would come crashing down around me if my own 18 month old daughter had cancer. I did research on this, and decided that I want to do this. It is only hair, it will grow back, and I would feel so proud to be throwing my vanity out the window to do a good thing. I told my husband about this earlier, and he got really angry. He said “He would never do it himself because he thinks its a stupid thing to do, and I wouldn’t raise a lot of money and it would not accomplish anything so it is a stupid idea” He also said that he’s not going to lie, my hair is one of the most beautiful things about me and he would be extremely disappointed to have me not have my hair for a while, and be not very attractive because of it. Last but not least, he told me that if “I think about this for a week and still want to do it, he would support me” but he said it in the nastiest and most non supportive, and frankly the meanest way he could, to let me know of his disgust for the idea. Vanity is apparently a bigger deal to him than I thought, and to be honest I am feeling disgusted with him because of this. Should I be? What are your thoughts?
It would raise money because I would be affiliated with an organization that does this – I would set up the time and place to shave, and leading up to the event, I would ask for donations from friends and family. I would make a website for it, and spread the word on facebook, and have friends tell friends and so on.
Also – my question is not whether or not you people personally think I should shave my head or not. My question is do you think it is wrong of my husband to be acting/feeling this way with his lack of support.

Okay, so I’m going to give a whole lowdown on my spiritual bind that I’m for whoever cares to listen and help me out. I don’t know what to do and am being pressured from different sides in terms of religion.
My mom was Jewish and I went to a Jewish Sunday school until around 4th grade, though I was never particularly religious. 4 years ago when I was in 6th grade, my mom died from a long battle with cancer and my sister converted to Christianity not long before that. My dad is not very religious though he comes from a Catholic family.
I went a handful of times to Church over about two years following my mom’s death because my sister wanted me to. After that I stopped going because it felt exactly like my old Jewish Sunday school, where whatever religious talk the preachers/rabbis/whatever said was accepted by all, only this time they were also preaching about Jesus. This made me feel weird about it, and gave me a sense that it wasn’t totally genuine (this Church is apparently the best church in the area that I live in, Dallas).
I never really got explanation or anything over why the teachings I was given in Church about Jesus and whatnot were true as opposed to what I learned being brought up Jewish, or vice versa. To put it really simply, I was just expected to accept whatever I was told.
This caused me to think a lot about religion and god and the nature of all that. I mean whose to say that either side is right? They both are apparently speaking the word of God. It seemed like a question with no answer.
As I pondered the question, I started looking at man’s history of religion in general, at evolution, at a history of polytheism in all parts of the world, that only converted after they were forced to when conquered by a monotheistic culture. I decided not to affiliate myself with anyone, and remain agnostic.
I am open to the possibility of God giving me a sign, or someone showing me the light, but I just have yet to see any such signs.
Over Christmas, however, my Grandmother, who is admittedly very controlling and opinionated (very much like Lucille from Arrested Development if you watch that show :/), told me that her only wish before she dies is to see me baptized. I know she means well, but I also think it was not her place to say that. Nonetheless, it’s made me feel very guilty the more I thought about it, which I kind of think was her intention.
I don’t feel any connection with any religion at the moment. I’ve been to Church and I’ve been to Synagogue. None of it feels right to me. I don’t really know what to do. If God came down and gave me a sign I’d be open to it, as would I if someone truly enlightened me or something, but until then I’m stuck sitting here feeling guilty and conflicted.
If you’ve read this far I thank you so much, and I would appreciate some advice on the matter. I’d love to know what you think or what you’d do if you were me, or anything really.

It’s no secret that the Tea party claims to follow the constitution like a 2nd bible. That being said, why don’t Tea Party Republicans seriously consider repealing the 21 drinking age for everyone (not just members of the military). That would be very consistent with their ideology, since the federal government and the supreme court B S-ed their way around the constitution when the law was passed. Plus, remember that the Tea Party marketed itself as an organization that defends freedom. If they truly defend freedom, then they should be against the government telling legal adults what types of beverages they can have and at what age. What do you say?
