OK…first, I’m a heterosexual guy. I was at a local mall and walked past a “Victoria’s Secret” and a “Pink” store. The colorful panties and pictures of the models certainly caught my eye. As I continued to walk on, I wondered to myself if these retailers are primarily trying to target female buyers or to get my heterosexual male attention (to possibly buy for a female significant other)….or both? I would suppose that gay, lesbian and transgendered individuals may be interested as well….

I’m a decently experienced actress that’s done freelance before, but I’ve been looking at taking the next step in my career. So I was applying to a whole bunch of agencies in my area and got a call back from one of them wanting an interview/audition…but when I looked at them again, they’re actually a talent management company. Their owner is SAG affiliated, so I don’t think it’s a SCAM, but is it a good idea to get a manager? I’ve gotten rejected from some of the other agencies I submitted to, would getting a manager help or hinder my career?
Advice?
