I’m a Gladiators fan and they are searching for an affiliate for next season. If they don’t find one can they still play?
they could still play probably, but they wont get many players. Most players go to an echl team so they can eventually get called up. I used to be a reading royals fan and they always get players called up.
Yes they can and sometimes it’s the best fit. The Dayton Bombers did this for a number of seasons in the 2000s after the Columbus Blue Jackets left their team hung out to dry by moving star players up to Syracuse. Dayton got tired of it and went independent. They had a lot of very good seasons as they attracted a lot of really solid players who wanted looks from AHL/NHL brass.
