If Islam Is More Of A Political Ideology Than A Religion, Why Is There Only One Muslim In The Congress?

Look at the Middle East – Islam and the government are one in the same.
That’s why it’s labeled as a “political ideology”.
Muslim is the act of killing, raping, and torture.
What portion of the Muslim population is in Congress? I think if you do the math you’ll find they are OVER-represented.
The Muslims population is only about 2% in the US. Per capita, that we even have a Muslim in office is remarkable.
Muslims follow Sharia Law which is a theocracy which is that their religious beliefs dictate their political, social and economic structure.
the ACLU fight Christianity constantly because they are afraid of it taking over the US, but Islam is A-OK which is funny because Christianity is not a theocracy. There is nothing telling us how to bank, eat, what to wear or how to live.
America was based off of Jewish and Judeo-Christian principles. None of our freedoms and privileges we enjoy stem from Islam or “Islam political ideology.” So it’s good that Christians are far more involved in our political system, seeing as it was from the Judeo-Christian God that the principles of this country were established.
But as for my God, the “government shall be upon His shoulders.” I am involved in politics only because it’s good for me to be, not because my faith dictates it.

Islam is not a political ideology. It’s a faith like Christianity, Buddhism, and Judaism. If you answerers believe that Islam is a barbaric religion, it is no more barbaric than Christianity and Judaism. Look in the Bible/Torah. Texts supporting or depicting rape and murder (committed by people who were supposedly the chosen ones) are everywhere. Christianity and Judaism are also religions with significant terrorist affiliations (*gasp*)! Look at the Olso shooting, killings in Iraq [15k killed in checkpoints alone… killings committed by the US army may add up to 100k—of the 1.2 million death toll, half were killed in terrorist shootings and a fifth were killed in roadside bombs… what about the other 3/10ths???], and massive murders in Palestine [sabbah.biz and Criticism of Israeli Government].
Islam is a religion with social/economical laws, just like Judaism.
But Glenn Beck fans call it a political ideology because they love Beck’s penis.
Because the district Ellison comes from is loaded with self-loathing Scandinavians and African-Americans.
Besides, he’s one of the most liberal members of Congress.
I could care less about equal representation based on a candidates personal views. I’d vote for a Muslim anyday if they agreed with me on policy.
