Me and my fiance are having a lot of problems. It would be easy for us to split if it were just him and I, but we have a 9 month old baby in the mix which makes things really really hard. We are not affiliated with any church and I would feel odd calling random churches asking for a minister to counsel us. Could someone plz tell me how I would go about getting this started and how much does a minster charge. I also would like to know if they would be judgmental of us since we have a child, live together but are not married.
Pastors do not charge
I have never heard of a pastor charging anything. If one does, then definitely seek out another. The first one misunderstands his calling in Christ. So he cannot possibly help you.
Random preachers are not the way to go. You clearly have no basic faith or you would have a church handy to take your money. Preachers will be as judgemental as your bank account will allow.
It depends whether you are asking for a spiritual leader to counsel you or you seek a Christian counselor to help you. Most of the time, spiritual leaders don’t have a fee but ask you to donate something to their fellowship. Christian counselor fees vary, so you will have to determine that by contacting them directly.
edit: Regarding being judgmental or not, the only way you can find out is to ask outright how he or she views your family arrangement. God sees you guys as married because you have chosen to live life together and have a child.
